The first decades of this century saw a significant development of biotechnologies for health, agri-food and environmental sectors. Green biotechnology can play a crucial role in the development of sustainable agriculture for optimizing the water consumption, for reducing the use of chemicals and the use fossil energy sources, taking into account farmers’ incomes and affordable prices for consumers. The scientists will meet the public and students of FVG region to explain what green biotechnologies are, how they work and where they can be applied and make more familiar terms such as cisgensesis and genome editing are.
